Meditation – 7 Ways It Can Change Your Life!

Meditation has an endless list of benefits just for you. What you will learn now are just the top 7 benefits through which meditation can change your life. As you get to know more about meditation and incorporate your learning into your life, you will find even more remarkable shifts in your life that result from it.

1. A Totally Relaxed Body and Mind

As you reach a more deeply relaxed state during meditation, you become more fully rested and renewed – probably even more than after hours of sleep. Fears and concerns will no longer trouble you and will all seem trivial because you are viewing them with a refreshed mind. Feelings of anxiety and agitation no longer influence you.

2. Clarity of Mind

After each meditation, you will be able to think more clearly. You will be able to look at a situation or a problem with greater clarity of mind. You will intuitively know how to balance the emotional and practical aspects of things. You will stop acting hastily, or out of clouded judgment. You will become fully aware of how you feel and you will be better prepared to determine the right courses of action.

3. Full Healing and Wellness

When your body and mind relax, your body heals itself faster. As you let go of thoughts that trouble you, your body is able to fully rest. Your body then becomes able to utilize the extra energy for faster recovery from any illness or negative state.

4. A More Enhanced Creative Mind

With a peaceful mind and a deeper connection with yourself, you will find inspiration more easily. The practice of meditation lets your creative mind open up and express itself. So, when you feel like your creative side has not been active, meditation can aid in rejuvenating it.

5. Heightened Self-Awareness

Meditating can help you determine how you truly are and how you really feel. If you are not in a good mood, you can immediately address it by calming the self. If you are feeling good or happy, then becoming fully aware of it magnifies your joy. This is why it is always good to look within by meditating.

6. Improved Ability to Focus and Concentrate

In meditation, you become free of disturbing images and worrisome thoughts that disrupt your concentration. To achieve this, you need to let each of them go, one by one. This can be considered challenging especially if you are very much affected by the thoughts that recur in your head. Eventually though, you will see how meditation can heighten your ability to focus, despite the presence of distractions around you.

7. Finding Inner Peace

Constant over-thinking is the likely cause of most your ailments and stress. Usually, you feel angrier, unhappier, or more annoyed because of constant replay of ugly memories in your mind. You close your eyes and they are what you always look at. As you learn meditation, you also learn to close your eyes and not be taken over by these memories. Meditation aids you to find total silence within. It brings you to your deep meditative states, where peace can be found.

Meditation has always addressed the needs of different people. Meditation can truly help you – whether you need to fully rest, find freedom from negative thoughts, or experience peace within the self. Meditation always has a wonderful effect – you will always come out of each session feeling great and rejuvenated. When you make meditation part of your daily life, you will fully experience its benefits all your life.

Tana Hoy has been meditating since he was a teen and is able to find inner peace through it. He now wants to share this experience with others by showing them how to meditate and how to fully experience its benefits. Visit his website to discover how meditation can change your life.

Positive Focus Vs Negative Focus

Look in any bookshop at their Best Seller list today, and you’ll see a mass of autobiographies of the rich and famous. From empire builders to glamour models to footballers, they all tell a different story, but each has a thread in common – they focused on the positives and overcame adversity.

That’s the way of the world; life’s achievers allow positive reasons why ‘they can’ to flood their consciousness, and drown out negative reasons why they can’t.

For the trainee, this attitude to studying is vital. To complete a training program successfully, the biggest tool in a student’s workbox is a positive mindset. An optimistic outlook brings about all sorts of circumstances, possibilities, answers and opportunities to achieve. On the other hand, a negative outlook blocks creativity and numbs our learning receptors.

This is due to our Reticular Activation System, which is a mechanism in our brain that automatically tells us what to focus on. We’ve experienced many things throughout our lives that no longer stay in the forefront of our minds – most of what we’ve learned moves from our conscious mind to our sub-conscious mind, a sort of store cupboard stocked up with all our past knowledge and beliefs.

When we attempt consciously to do something, our RAS (Reticular Activation System) will search for any relevant information in the sub-conscious mind, and bring it to our attention. If we’re taking a walk down a street, only the things that have meaning to us will be noticed – the rest is just background noise.

This means that if our conscious mind has been regularly sending messages that are upbeat and positive to our sub-conscious mind, then that’s what it will transfer back. But if our sub-conscious has been given loads of downbeat and defeatist messages, then that’s equally what will be sent back.

Achievers, it appears, are able to manipulate the messages streamimg through to their sub-conscious minds. They do this by choosing the exact messages the conscious mind sends and deliberately programming their RAS. As such, it’s an essential tool for achieving goals, as the sub-conscious mind can’t tell the difference between real or imaginary events.

In other words, as it believes what it’s told, we need to create a very specific picture of our goal in our conscious mind. The RAS will then pass this on to our subconscious – which will then help us achieve the goal. It does this by bringing to our attention all the relevant information which otherwise might have remained as ‘background noise’.

Napoleon Hill said that we can achieve any realistic goal if we keep on thinking of that goal, and stop thinking any negative thoughts about it. Of course, if we keep thinking that we can’t achieve a goal, our subconscious will help us not to achieve it.

Quit Making Excuses

A few days ago I wrote on the subject 14 reasons to stop making excuses. I explained the motive for making excuses and suggested 14 reasons why we should avoid doing so. This is a follow up to that post and my focus will be; listing 13 ways to stop making excuses. It’s already established that giving excuses attempts to divert the attention from you (the individual) and tries to explain several reasons for not accomplishing or carrying out various tasks. It also puts up a wall of defence for exhibiting particular behaviors such as failing to keep promises, quitting certain habits etc.

Below is a list of ways to stop making excuses

Winston Churchill said Responsibility is the price of greatness. It resumes and ends with you; the choices you must make, the responsibilities to live up to, the attitude you portray, your level of seriousness and commitment etc. In all you do, theres always an element of contribution towards your success/failure.

Examine how well you are fairing in every aspect of your life. Compare where you were yesterday with where you are now with where you aspire to be in the future. Monitor your behaviour, strategies etc. Are they making you head towards the right direction? Are your plans and strategies still effective? If yes, carry on, if no , don’t make excuses, but rather look for alternatives.

Realize your mistakes: As humans, you will always make mistakes. Don’t be hard on yourself. Learn from the experience of failing. Accept responsibility and look for solutions on how to resolve the problems rather than making excuses.

Build your confidence:Making excuses won’t get you anywhere; rather it will just increase your feelings of insecurity.

There are numerous opportunities to shine, improve yourself, grow physically mentally, morally but you won’t know this if you keep making excuses.

Build on your successes: Being successful in anything doesnt come easy and its definitely not cheap. So cherish your successes, let them be a source of encouragement but at the same time look at your flaws. Work on it; be willing to learn from them. Make a list of all your accomplishments and the areas which require further development. Start taking progressive steps to success in every sphere of your life.

Know your limits: Know what you can do or cant do. Don’t do things to please people and get frustrated in the long run and at the same time dont relinquish your duties or responsibilities because you are extremely lazy and isnt interested in any positive outcomes. If you are serious about making progress, don’t make excuses.

Develop a high level of optimism

Accept responsibility: This list won’t be complete without mentioning the fact that we need to own up to our responsibilities. Stand up to your faults, successes, failures etc.

Don’t just sit there and make excuses, think hard and think well!!!

Listen: Learn to listen carefully to people, instructions and conversations. I have discovered that because we are overwhelmed by our fears, worries and inadequacies we do not to listen carefully to whats being said to us and quickly come up with all sorts of excuses.

Don’t be defensive at all. If youre going to stop making excuses, you have to learn to stop being defensive.

Go Forward: Whatever you do, wherever you are, in whatever situations you find yourself go forward!!! Take positive steps in order to advance your growth and personal development. Giving excuses will only create stunted growths in your life. Go forward today. Place that foot forward, don’t make any excuses.

I look forward to your comments, thoughts, ideas and suggestions on ways to stop making excuses

Some would hint that making money in affiliate marketing is easier said than done, and that is partially true , because achieving anything of value does require some work. The effort expended is what gives you satisfaction after you have accomplished your endeavor. No person ‘worth their salt’ would want it any other way.

The law of attraction governs all things. Its useful expressions in our day to day existence are over shadowed by our state of being. Our state of being is directed by our feeling of self-worth. Thus it seems that attaining this feeling of self-worth is very important, and interestingly this feeling cannot be borrowed, bought or stolen , it has to be worked for , and it is more valuable than money. A person become poor or well off as a result of this feeling of self-worth, which magnetizes and bring into their lives no money or riches .

Coming to the realization of Who and What we are and the purpose for Why we exist will give us new insights into why we work to make money. Being wealthy is a feeling that exists within our heart, it is a state of being. A state that directs the law of attraction to allow more satisfaction into our lives , thus leading to more self improvement. Joe Vitale demonstrated this in the “Greatest Money Making Secret.”

Books such as “Human Operations Manual” and “The Little Money Bible” deals with the nature of money and many other self-empowering topics. There is much more to existence after you have made the cold hard cash and bought all the toys you ever wanted . You should prepare yourself with a balanced philosophy about wealth and stick to it when the big money starts coming in so that you can demonstrate a good example that others can emulate .

Can You Make Money Online Without Applying The Law of Attraction as Taught By Joe Vitale?

The law of attraction that Joe Vitale taught, high lighted to us how we too can pull into our lives whatever our heart desires by just pulling it. This is a process that anyone can learn . It is easy . All of our efforts in life becomes less difficult. It becomes way easier to be successful at making money online with affiliate marketing. You don’t need to go to university to learn the law of attraction principles , they wouldn’t show you the necessary methods of how to excel at making money on the net . If Joe Vitale can do it, so can anyone that put their heart and enthusiasm into it. You are much nearer today than you ever were to freeing yourself from drudgery .

The Law Of Repulsion “Don’t Toss Your Life Away

by Jay Polmar

The Universe has many laws that people can understand, but Im going to talk to you about the opposite of the Law of Attraction, the Secret that everyone has been talking about for 3 years now. There is an unspoken Law of Repulsion and since no one knew much about it, I figured Id discover it.

Now, Ive used it more than I want to think. I wished it didnt exist, but it does. And I have proof. I was born under a great star, according to the spacey astrologers, so why did I turn blue at birth and almost die. Get Rheumatic Fever, and repel health and get a life full of illnesses that would make my immune system struggle. While Im 63, still surviving and still teaching people to watch out for that Law of Repulsion. So, lets talk about the most important things that Ive repelled

Try my car keys. Before my wife put a small nail in the wall to hang the car keys, the car keys were under the influence of the law of repulsion. Believe it or not, before that nail by the door, Id lose them, repel them, and maybe theyd show up under a bureau, in the cats soccer game, in the big box on the shelf that I keep change in, by the TV, in the grocery bag, but more likely I repel them so far that they wind up at the bottom of the washing machine in the local laundry. No matter what I did to try to keep track of (a lighter form of say attracting) my keys, they were unconsciously repelled and sometimes I even found them in the ashtray of my locked car, dont ask ” its that repulsion law.

So, I decided to study the universal laws to see whether I would pass the Universal Bar Exam and see if Id reach the Limit and become a Guru of Universal Law.

I had already mastered the law of repulsion, car keys, job interviews (didnt get those jobs), premature expulsion of relationships (yikes, even before I scored a goal, and it still cost me a dinner!). Truly I was a master of the law of repulsion. I was blowing it and the law of repulsion had impacted my personal life. In business, I was in purchasing and sales, and back then I always told the clients or departments I worked with that deliveries would be on time. I knew the factories and they were ok, but, from knowing the industry and trucking business during blizzards, from years of experience ” I knew in my heart of hearts that things wouldnt always be on-time. A blizzard would come in and trucks got block in. I was beginning to attract things I feared, late deliveries at work. Yes, I attracted them. I attracted them with my thoughts. I was however a problem solver: I would fly to the factories, rent a big truck and drive south to where the roads were open, then east and back to the big apple ” I was a great problem solver, and driving through mid America was very relaxing, and I could listen to audios and empower my thoughts for success.

Thats when I thought, what could I do if I made a big sum of money. So, I did it, and then I took a two month vacation and thought, what could I do with this extra money I have “I invested it and a company and decided to run the company. I bought it, at age 26, without an accountant and lawyer, and it had problems. Big, big, problems for a little, little business. So, I lost the money, I watched it all go away I was repulsing what I wanted the most — success. I repelled a live-in girl friend, lots of lovers, and wound up working an hourly job in Miami, then Bridgeport, and then I begged a friend to give me a chance with a sales position. And I proved that my mind could create, for me, the opportunity for me to be the money magnet non-stop for years and years.

What turned out to be the golden ring in my lifes seeking — was knowledge, the one thing that God gave us the ability to learn here on Earth. And the greatest knowledge of all ” what I think, feel, see, and know in my heart that I want ” I get. Your heart is the magnetic power, and the emotion is desire, and the overall category is love. So, in truth ” all we need is love.

Later on in this series, well talk about getting hit by lightening while studying spiritual psychology which opened up my mind, and gave me the saying: Sometimes a man has to be struck by lightning to become open minded.

Dr. Jay Polmar is an author of more than 45 books in 5 languages and through his experiences has written Thinkright which will save you the trouble of interacting with the law of repulsion and lead you right on the path of attracting what you really, really want.

Best Happiness Quotes to Remember

by Joanne Aika Castillo

Happiness is indeed the most sought after emotion for every person. We always look for ways to achieve happiness by associating it with financial stability, successful careers, and a long and happy marriage. People constantly try to find happiness and more often than not feel that they failed in doing so.

But is it really something we need to look for? Is happiness something we need to work hard for? How can we achieve happiness? Time and time again we hear motivational speakers say happiness is not the end point but a journey. It is the feeling of enjoying and being contented in every stage of life that we go through. If that’s the case then people are probably chasing unhappiness instead of happiness. It seems like there’s a need for us to exercise contentment instead of constantly seeking for happiness.

Here is a collection of five best happiness quotes to read and remember everyday. These quotes on happiness and contentment can help enlighten some common misconceptions of what we think happiness is. There is no doubt that you might have heard most of these quotes from other people, but that is exactly what quotes are for. Quotations on happiness serve as convenient reminders of how to become a happy and contented person. So sit back and enjoy the wisdom of these happiness quotes.

1. If you want to be happy, be. – Leo Tolstoy

- This quote couldn’t be more clear and direct. It emphasizes that happiness is a choice. Although you might have heard these words countless times before, it doesn’t change the fact that happiness is a state of being. It is within our control You can be happy if you want to.

2. Happiness isn’t always doing what you want to do; its doing what you don’t want to do, and being glad you did it. – Jessie Evens Smith

- This is what we call contentment. Being contented is an essential part of being happy. More often than not we are focused on the things we don’t have and not the things that we already have. This goes the same to wanting to become another person rather than fully accepting ourselves despite our flaws. Once we have learned to appreciate our talents and blessings, that’s the time we begin to enjoy who we are and what we do.

3. The supreme happiness in life is the conviction that we are loved ” loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves. – Victor Hugo

- This quote by Victor Hugo is a sweet reminder that the people we love and who love us are essential to our happiness. The feeling of love and support is the greatest blessing that we should all be thankful for. We are social beings and it is our nature to find happiness not only within ourselves but with people who care for us. This happiness quote is one we should always keep in mind.

4. Happiness is having a large, loving, caring, close-knit family in another city. – George Burns

The image conjured by this happiness quote is the comforting assurance that we always have family and friends who are there for us. Sometimes when you feel weary in the face of problems and difficulties, just the thought that your family is always behind you no matter what is enough to put a smile on your face. Happiness is tantamount to family and friends.

5. The search for happiness is one of the chief sources of unhappiness. -Eric Hoffer, The Passionate State of Mind, 1954

- This quote appropriately summarizes how happiness is a decision to be made and not an end goal that we consciously seek for everyday.

This is just the start of your choice to be happy. I hope these happiness quotes have served their purpose. Just try to keep in mind what struck you the most and don’t forget to count your blessings every so often.

Beyond Self Limitation – How To Get Out Of Your Own Way

It’s a curious feature of human life that there are occasions when we clearly know the best thing to do and then we go and do something completely different! It can seem that part of us wants one thing and another part stops it.

This is obvious in the case of a person who wants to be slimmer yet reaches for another cream cake. But often it’s far less obvious. We are all subject to self-limitations that slip in under the radar.

What happens is we hear an internal voice giving us ‘advice’. It’s like having a narrator in your head. Whatever the ‘advice’, the voice is so familiar that we take it simply as part of our normal thinking.

In the case of the cream cake, the voice might whisper “go on, just one more won’t hurt you”. More limiting still is when the voice makes critical comments like “you’re not good enough” or “don’t be stupid”.

When we hear this, it’s often enough to stop us in our tracks. We take the voice seriously; its power is in the unquestioned agreement we give it.

To neutralise these self-limitations, you can expose them for what they are by personifying them as a ‘gremlin’. This is a neat metaphor from the book ‘Taming Your Gremlin’ by Rick Carson. I’ll introduce you to a gremlin of my own but first here are the key steps to expose one:

1. Notice the voice’s catch phrase.

2. Give it a descriptive name. For example: Donny Don’t-Blow-Your-Own-Trumpet; Miss Always-Right; Dr Fail Again.

3. Imagine the voice belonging to a cartoon-like character. This is the gremlin and you can picture it anyway you want – see what features it has and how it is dressed.

4. Notice the context when the gremlin ‘appears’.

5. Gremlins usually have a positive intention for you – what could it be?

The most insidious gremlins are those that seem the most reasonable. Recently I’ve become aware of a gremlin I often hear saying “C’mon, be realistic” (similar to Sergeant Wilson in Dad’s Army: “Do you think that’s wise?”). I’ve called him Johnny B. Realistic. He is short and stubby, wears a check jacket and pointed shoes.

Johnny raises his head when I’m thinking about the future I wish to create. His positive intention seems to be to keep me from being disappointed but the actual effect is to get me to lower my sights and set just modest goals.

By exposing him, he doesn’t go away. But his power over me dissolves and I’m free to set big audacious goals. Michelangelo expressed it this way:

“The greater danger for most of us lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low, and achieving our mark”

So now you can have some fun with your gremlin(s) rather than being held back

“What Really Makes You Tick?” 10 questions you should ask to yourself: a preparation to self-improvement

We’re all pelted with problems. Honestly it shouldn’t even bother or even hinder us to becoming all we ought to be. Aspirations as kids should continue to live within us, even though it would be short-lived or as long as we could hold on to the dream. They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks… or can they?

1. What do I really want?
The question of the ages. So many things you want to do with your life and so little time to even go about during the day.

Find something that you are good at can help realize that small step towards improvement. Diligence is the key to know that it is worth it.

2. Should I really change?
Today’s generation has taken another level of redefining ‘self’, or at least that’s what the kids are saying. Having an army of teenage nieces and nephews has taught me that there are far worse things that they could have had than acne or maybe even promiscuity. So how does that fit into your lifestyle?

If history has taught us one thing, it’s the life that we have gone through. Try to see if partying Seventies style wouldn’t appeal to the younger generation, but dancing is part of partying. Watch them applaud after showing them how to really dance than break their bones in break-dancing.

3. What’s the bright side in all of this?
With so much is happening around us there seem to be no room for even considering that light at the end of the tunnel. We can still see it as something positive without undergoing so much scrutiny. And if it’s a train at the end of the tunnel, take it for a ride and see what makes the world go round!

4. Am I comfortable with what I’m doing?
There’s always the easy way and the right way when it comes to deciding what goes with which shoes, or purse, shirt and whatnot. It doesn’t take a genius to see yourself as someone unique, or else we’ll all be equally the same in everything we do. Variety brings in very interesting and exciting questions to be experimented.

5. Have I done enough for myself?
Have you, or is there something more you want to do? Discontentment in every aspect can be dangerous in large doses, but in small amounts you’ll be able to see and do stuff you could never imagine doing.

6. Am I happy at where I am today?
It’s an unfair question so let it be an answer! You love being a good and loving mom or dad to your kids, then take it up a notch! Your kids will love you forever. The same goes with everyday life!

7. Am I appealing to the opposite sex?
So maybe I don’t have an answer to that, but that doesn’t mean I can’t try it, though. Whether you shape-up, change the way you wear your clothes or hair, or even your attitude towards people, you should always remember it will always be for your own benefit.

8. How much could I have?

I suppose in this case there is no such things on having things too much or too little, but it’s more on how badly you really need it. I’d like to have lots of money, no denying that, but the question is that how much are you willing to work for it?

9. What motivates me?

What motivates you? It’s an answer you have to find out for yourself. There are so many things that can make everyone happy, but to choose one of the may be the hardest part. It’s not like you can’t have one serving of your favorite food in a buffet and that’s it. Just try it piece by piece.

10. What Really Makes You Tick?

So? What really makes you tick? You can be just about anything you always wanted to be, but to realize that attaining something that may seem very difficult is already giving up before you even start that journey. Always remember, that self-improvement is not just about the physical or philosophical change you have to undergo, but it’s something that you really want.

What Are The Secrets Of Meditation?

by Trevor Johnson

Do you know the meditation secrets only masters should know? Meditation helps you become aware of every thought and feeling. Never to judge but to watch is a quality that can be developed only with meditation. It is in the watching you begin to understand the whole movement of thought and feeling. Meditation unlocks the power of awareness that leads you to power, patience and success. It shows you the reality of life and what your role is in it.

There are many forms of meditation which all basically focus upon opening the spiritual heart which is the center of love. The heart is also the seat of all spiritual qualities. One secret of meditation is unlocking this center for self-discovery, freedom and ecstasy that cannot be defined in words.

Meditation also works like an iron shield. It makes you immune to noise outside in the world. Nothing is able to touch you. Pain and pleasure cannot stir you. Material possessions cannot give you everlasting happiness but meditation leads you through higher aspirations to a unique self-sufficiency and purity. It sets you above physical desires and the tribulations of life appear to be no more than pin-pricks barely felt.

Grace, the fourth of meditation secrets, are regarded as the devine love and kindness of God. It increases our spiritual hunger and clears obstacles in our way. It is the way to the great alchemy that changes ignorance to knowledge, disbelief into believe. Grace is one of the main dynamic forces of meditation and one of the greatest secrets of a spiritual life.

Happiness and pleasure can be ‘bought’ for the short-term but not bliss. Means of entertainment, people, careers, property and all other material things provide us with a very surface level of contentment. Deep within we still continue to feel discontent despite everything. Bliss is a strange everlasting sense of joy and has no motive. Once it is there, depending on the quality of your mind, it remains timeless and causeless. This is the fifth secret of meditation and not easily achieved.

Brain Power Control By Steve G. Jones, M.Ed.

What is self improvement? Well, the dictionary defines self
improvement as “improvement of one’s mind, character, etc. through
one’s own efforts. Seems pretty simple and straight forward.

So logically, the next question one would ask themselves is what
should the efforts consist of? In other words, what techniques,
principles & resources work most effectively?

Well, that is a question that Clinical Hypnotherapist, Steve G.
Jones has been asking himself for many years.

Since the 1980′s, Steve has been changing the lives of people all
over the world for the better using the power of hypnosis.

One thing that he has always kept in mind in his search is that
there is no “one magical formula” that can completely improve every
single aspect of your life. Enhancing your level of self
improvement is a process that consists of many different techniques
and formulas. After all, one’s self consists of many things and
because we are all different, some of us need more improvement in
certain places than others.

Taking the necessary steps toward enhancing your self improvement
is like exercising. Only instead of training your body, you’re
training your mind.

When you exercise or train your body, there is no one universal
program known to man that works for everyone. Rather, effective
programs consist of a combination of many different techniques and
exercises that come together at different points that create the
desired result.

For example, let’s say your goal is to build muscle. Because your
entire body consists of different muscles that do different things,
different exercises are required for each one. And for each muscle,
there’s probably 5-7 different exercises that you can perform to
achieve your overall fitness goal.

Training your mind is no different. The techniques that you apply
should always vary. The important thing is that they actually work.

Many people however, don’t take the process of training their brain
as seriously as they should.

They spend all of their time, money and energy on resources that
they think will improve their lives without ever actually investing
in their mind.

Think of your mind as the root and everything else as the branches.
The roots set the stage of success for everything else.

If you invest in your mind, everything else will fall into place.

And that’s why Steve G. Jones, M.Ed. is proud to present his newest
creation. Introducing the all new Brain Power Control System

Consisting of Four Empowering Hypnosis Modules, this program will
reveal secrets like:

Essential Brain Nutrition – While certain foods strengthen your
brain, others weaken it. Here you’ll learn which foods to avoid and
